Pokémon plush lines explained
Pokémon Center sells plush in several distinct lines, and the line matters more than the Pokémon when it comes to size, feel and price. This guide explains each line using the measurements in our own catalogue, so the sizes and prices below are what you will actually find in the store today.

Sitting Cuties
Sitting Cuties are the pocket-sized line: a seated Pokémon with a beanbag base so it sits upright, an embroidered face and a consistent style across every design. The line began in 2018 with the Kanto Pokémon and has been extended region by region since, which is why collectors talk about "completing Kanto" or "completing Sinnoh". In Japan the same plush are sold under the name Pokémon fit.
Sizes are quoted by the longest side. A seated Pokémon is often longer than it is tall, so a "6 ¼ in" Sitting Cuties may stand about 5 inches. Most designs fall between 4 and 7 inches; long-bodied Pokémon such as Gyarados, Onix or Rayquaza run larger. Weights are light, typically 1 to 3 ounces. Poké Plush
Poké Plush is the main line and the one most people picture: a fully embroidered, proportionate plush of a single Pokémon, usually standing or in a characteristic pose. Sizes start around 6 inches and go past two feet, and the range includes detail work such as translucent wings, felt flames and weighted bases where a design needs them. Fill is polyester fibre, sometimes with pellets in the base for stability.
Because the line is open-ended, the same Pokémon can appear in several sizes and poses over the years. When you compare two Poké Plush of the same Pokémon, check the size in the name and the release date on the listing; a newer release is usually the more accurate sculpt.
Pokémon Dolls
Pokémon Dolls carry the rounded, big-headed silhouette of the original Pokédoll line. They are softer than Poké Plush, sit or slump rather than stand, and are consistent in proportion across the line, so a group of them reads as a set. They suit younger children and anyone who prefers the cute stylisation over an accurate sculpt.
Plush keychains
Keychains are 3 to 6 inch plush with a clip or ring. Within the category there are sub-lines: Adventure Partners use a fluffier fabric and a Poké Ball clasp, Lil' Friends are the smallest, and the Theater finger puppets fit over a finger. Keychains carry small parts, so the manufacturer rates them for ages 4 and up. They are the least expensive way to own a specific Pokémon and the most common stocking stuffer.
Named collections
Collections are themed lines released in waves of a few Pokémon each, and usually not reprinted once a wave sells through. The ones you will meet most often:
- Comfy Friends: large, soft-bodied huggers, typically 12 to 16 inches.
- Ditto As: Ditto transformed into another Pokémon, shape mostly right, face unmistakably Ditto.
- Squishmallows: the marshmallow-soft crossover line in 10, 12 and 16 inch sizes.
- Pokémon Dreams: sleeping poses with a squishy foam fill.
- Soda Pop: Pokémon paired with a fizzy drink theme in translucent and printed fabrics.
- Comfy Cuddlers: washable terry cloth for the youngest fans.
- Bite Buddies, Paw Pod, Sweet Support: small novelty lines with a clip, a pod or a message.

Are Sitting Cuties and Pokémon fit the same thing?
Yes. Pokémon fit is the Japanese name for the same line. The plush are the same; the hang tag language differs.
Why is the size in the product name different from the height?
The named size is the longest side of the plush. For a seated or lying Pokémon that is usually its length, so the standing height is smaller. Every listing in this store gives all three dimensions.
Which line is the softest?
Squishmallows and Pokémon Dreams are the softest by fill; Comfy Friends are the softest of the standard-shaped plush. Poké Plush and Sitting Cuties are firmer because they hold a sculpted shape.
Are older releases better or worse than new ones?
Newer releases of the same Pokémon usually have a more accurate sculpt and embroidery. Older releases are collected for rarity rather than quality. The release date is on every listing.
